Rags from Plano, United Statesbeautiful image. There is life at the end of the tunnel. 4 Jul 2007 6:08am @Rags: Sure is Rags - worth striving towards! Thanks for visiting. @Double KK Photography: Thanks Double KK! @Manuela Photography: Thanks for your encouragement Manuela! @ttomasso: It was autumn - we have frosts and the deciduous trees flood the city with colour. Thanks for commenting ttomasso! Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaGreat shot. I love shots with light like this, well done. 4 Jul 2007 11:58am @Helen: Thanks for your encouraging comment Helen! Riya from Blacksburg, United StatesNice shot. Love the tunnel and the fall colors 4 Jul 2007 2:19pm @Riya: Thanks Riya! I enjoyed your pictures of Planet Blackburg - so lovely and green - ours is a much browner land. @aggie: Thanks Aggie for your kind comment! @sithenah: Thanks sithenah, it's a hopeful image I think @badala: Thanks badala I was pretty pleased with this one myself! L.Reis from Lisbon, PortugalYou have quite an amazing set of wonderful shots in your blog. Congrats! 4 Jul 2007 8:46pm @L.Reis: You're very kind indeed. I love taking photos - my dad was a photographer who had to make a living for our family from taking portraits, weddings etc He always wanted to try photography as art, but never really had that opportunity so I think of him now as I'm lucky to be free to do it. Thanks for visiting! Sash from Adelaide, AustraliaWe had those colours in my parts about two weeks ago. The transition of autumn into the onset of winter is a beautiful thing. PS The perspective / composition here is excellent. :) 5 Jul 2007 1:54am @Sash: Adelaide's lovely. Thanks for your comment! I notice we use the same camera too - I'm really enjoying mine - what do you think of it? Seraphine from San Francisco, United StatesI hate tunnels. I'll make an exception to yours. It's beautiful. 5 Jul 2007 5:09pm @Seraphine: Without the darkness the light would overwhelm... Sash from Adelaide, AustraliaRegarding your comment to my comment above: I think it's great now because I know a bit more about what I'm doing. At first I didn't like it at all because every photo I took seemed to show a lot of noise (pixelation), but now that I'm more aware of the functionality, I use the Manual (M) setting for everything, I think I'm on top of what the settings ought to be. I'm sure you're already aware of this but it has an excellent macro setting for taking those flower shots you - and I - like so much. :) 7 Jul 2007 11:17pm @Sash: I'm exactly the same - the more I learn about the manual possibilities the more I like it. Its zoom is great for birds and the macro for our flowers and fungi so it's a slight compromise but the best digital and a step or 2 up from my old Canon. I love having simple manual focus! Thanks for your reply. @Lorraine: You're too kind! Thanks Lorraine! @vasa: I'm glad you like it - thanks for the comment vasa! |
