Red-necked Wallaby

Another of our marsupials - smaller than the 'roo & usually solitary - a delightful surprise to discover when bush walking - often heard thumping away into the ferny undergrowth.

We have a couple of wallabies here in the Singapore zoo. They don't seem to be afraid of humans. There I was with my tripod and camera and this little fella walked right up to me to check out my tripod. It just felt so special that it didn't fear me. Great shot, Bron!

@aggie: It gives a great feeling to be trusted by wild creatures. :)))

I have a friend (a biologist) who had a wallaby as a house-pet. They're generally thought to be herbavores, but one day my friend opened his fridge and the wallaby pushed past him, stole a chicken and hopped off to the corner to eat it! He was staggered. Perhaps it was missing vital things in its diet?? It was very funny to watch he told me... It was kind of growling like a dog!!!
