@Shutterbug: Hi Shutterbug Thanks! @Olaide: thanks - he is a wonderful fish Olaide! @Pixadilly: Great! thanks Pixadilly @Dimitrios: He's my pet Dimitrios - George is his name - I raised him from a baby and he's doubled his size - eats out of my hand and has me well trained!! {H} creatives from Santa Clara, United StatesI love it! Great title! Bring a smile to my face, Bron! Thanks a million.... p.s. sorry haven't been back to your site to return the visit. Work's been hectic...but I'm hoping to get back to p-blogging soon! Cheers! B-) 13 Aug 2007 9:39am @{H} creatives: Hey {H} - good to hear from you! We've all missed your postings - and look forward to your enthusiastic, encouraging voice coming back soon! I'm glad you like my portrait of George - he's a good pet - very sure of himself haha Lorraine from CanadaOh He is a treasure. Darn, I was going to eat fish today...now how can I? I applaud you *G* 13 Aug 2007 10:45am @Lorraine: Oh-oh fish dinner! No. It's ok - even George would probably eat fish I guess!!! tyan from Singaporewow, what a very beautiful macro..makes me want to go get a fish for pet!:) 13 Aug 2007 12:49pm @tyan: They're very peaceful creatures tyan, your blood pressure will be low and lovely if you watch them float! Lorraine from CanadaNo, I meant that, thanks for the reminder. Fishes or is that Fish, anyhoo, they are intelligent and beautiful. I threw my fish out. Thank you :) 13 Aug 2007 1:41pm @Lorraine: Oh I didn't realise you were serious Lorraine. In that case I'm glad to have reminded you. I saw research that they are clever, remembering a complicated maze for more than a year. George certainly knows me! Cheers - enjoy your vegies! :) Bron @Daroru: Yes Daroru! George is very "up front"! No shy flower - he is curious about everything that goes on! (a good watch-fish) :D @Jen: Glad you think so Jen! Thanks for visiting, cheers Bron Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomNow that's a sight for sore eyes on a Monday! :) 13 Aug 2007 3:22pm @Rebecca: His bubbly message is: pleased to meet you too Rebecca! He's delighted to light up your Monday!! @jump: Thanks jump! your comments are very encouraging!! :) Gonçalo from PortugalHey, now there's something really hard to take pictures of. Fish in aquarium never stand still and when they see something spookey they start "running". Nice close-up. 13 Aug 2007 5:57pm @Gonçalo: Thanks Gonçalo - daily hand feeding has trained me well ! And I'm pretty spookey haha!!! cheers! Markus from Reading, United KingdomDaring good shot, superb colours and brilliant fish!! 13 Aug 2007 7:04pm @Markus: You can hardly go wrong with him Markus - he's a class act!! Thanks again for your kind visit! Susan from New Market, United StatesI agree, WOW! The colors are amazing! Excellent macro! 13 Aug 2007 7:44pm @Susan: Thanks Susan he's a discus - the sun shines in on him in the afternoon - a spectacular combination! cheers Bron @LuisRodrigues: I'm pleasedyou like them Luis! Lost Valley from Kamloops, CanadaI love it! What a look you captured in his eyes! Love the detail of colors. 13 Aug 2007 8:44pm @Lost Valley: Thanks Lost Valley! He tends to eyeball me very closely! @JED: Excellent JED! Laughter is the best thing!! cheers Bron MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomWow! this is one amazing close up shot! 14 Aug 2007 12:39am @MaryB: Thanks MaryB!! George is a good model!! @Dave Mac: Indeed Dave - He's an "in you face" sort of fish!! cheers! SusanPEI from Summerside, CanadaLove how you captured his personality as well as his brilliant colors. 19 Aug 2007 3:29am @SusanPEI: He's both georgeous and charming - although an actor I think - this week for 2 days he decided to lurk in a corner, his colours turned off and fins clenched. We checked all his tank characteristics - nothing wrong!! I thought he was "for it" but he bounced up begging for food and full of colourful fishy smiles!! It was pretend!!! grrrr!!! naughty boy! SusanPEI from Summerside, CanadaWow, glad he is all right. Hard to imagine him with his colors turned off. Must have been a sad sight indeed. My only experience with fish was my mother's goldfish. Didn't have a camera back then that could take closeups. 19 Aug 2007 1:34pm @SusanPEI: I just couldn't believe it - I took a trip to the pet shop to see if they could help me to save him he looked so bad. I'm celebrating his recovery because I'm so fond of him. I've taken quite a few fish pictures in my tamk in the last few years but mostly they whip past so quickly they're blurred! P. de Frean from Cote D'IvoireBron, you said he'd done time on a grill ... but to me, he looks as though he'd done time, on a sunny day, behind the bars of the penitentiary. I'd keep a close watch on him. 22 Aug 2007 5:08am @P. de Frean: Ah - convict fish!! I KNEW he had a shady background P de Frean, and he has been staring intently at the silver lately!! LOL |
