@bronzebilly u.k.: It's a person-made lake in the middle of our city billy but an amazing place for bushwalkers, birdwatchers, strollers, picnickers, bikers, boaters (no motors allowed so quiet!!) and starers-into-the-distance! Oh and me! (though I usually keep my pants up haha:))

I'm thrilled to hear that your city had the good sense to not allow motor boats, or even worse, skido's, or whatever you call them there, those one-person go everywhere noisemakers.

@SusanPEI: Not as thrilled as we are!! The serenity is palpable (the small city of Queanbeyan to our near east allows motors on the river and is to be avoided ) I especially worry for the poor birds!
