I love the way you've captured the freshness of the new life emerging from the path, Beautiful Bron :)

Such fine and fragile-looking delicacy reveals a life-force that is far more determined and powerful than the coarse, harder-looking elements of this immediate environment.

@Viewfinder: It's true Viewfinder - the ability of the lifeforce to push through in the most astounding places never ceases to impress! - We have a species of fungus which grows through the asphalt of the road!!
What VF said, 'cause wow, that's well said Viewfinder!!!! LOL BEAUTIFUL textures...the little plant looks like a question mark :)

This is an AMAZING shot, Bron. For a moment there, I thought this one was from Mars! :) lol... Seriously...so unusual and yet so full of, yes, hope. Life in the making. Love the contrasts of the browns with the green, the angular with the curves, the hard with the soft...very lovely...thank you for this today! :)

@Double KK Photography: Thanks Double KK!
This is one hell of a macro shot. Your old Canon G2 is an awesome camera.

@Persian King: I agree PK - I bought it maybe 7 years ago (I'm guessing) at the top of the digital range at the time and worth every cent. My 20 year old son now takes it out on his bushwalking hikes - only complains about its zoom (he'd like to take better bird photos.) Thanks!
When I first saw this picture, I was kind of startled. Then the thought "hope" came to my mind. I scrolled down and there was your title, "Hope". Perfect.
