Soph from Enghien, BelgiumThis is a wonderful photo. I'm always moved when I see photos like this. My father died 11 years ago, but he didn't look in bad health. Everything was happening inside and he was so alive outside! Thank you for this photo and for the explainations, They really look so much in love! I would have like to see my parents together as they were old with grey hair, but my father was 40 when he died, I just knew him like a father, with his kindness and autority, it's very hard to imagine how he would have been with me as I'm an adult. 27 Aug 2007 6:31am @Soph: Oh Soph I'm so sorry to hear of the sad early loss of your precious father. My dad was so ill for so long - he was 52 when he had the stroke. We were very fortunate to have him for many years beyond that but they were hard years for him. Keep those precious memories of your father. His love for you lives on in you. Manuela Photography from Hainburg, GermanyVery soft and touching portrait. Your Mum's face is full of tenderness & love. 27 Aug 2007 7:40am @Manuela Photography: Thanks so much for your kind reponse Manuela. @Lorraine: Thanks. @Walt: A pleasure Walt. Lala from Long Sault, CanadaThank you for sharing. What a loving portrait... Is it hard to reflect on these photos? I lost my dad too early and I treasure his photos but I do not know if I could share them openly, I still have a hard time, even all these years later. 27 Aug 2007 3:19pm @Lala: I think it might be easier if a loved one had a long life Lala - any life which ends too early will bring pain with a sense of unfairness. My dad was a photographer by occupation so sharing photos is very natural for our family and he lived just as long as he wanted to after his severe illness. My memories are very happy.
