MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomOh I love it! fabulous composition and the colours are super, nice one Bron :) I loved yesterdays portrait too, wonderful lighting :) 19 Sep 2007 8:03am @MaryB: Thanks for both comments Mary!! You're always so positive and encouraging :)) @Craiger: Pretty nifty painting Craiger! Organik from AustraliaOMG! LOL Has a warm Aussie feel to it eh Bron? :) 19 Sep 2007 10:47am @Organik: It's full of character OM but the rather faraway look in the subjects eyes makes it for me - it's as if she's dreaming of being somewhere else? :) Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaDuchess, this IS quite the catch, WOW I love the unexpectedness of it ;) 19 Sep 2007 11:12am @Lorraine: Thanks Miss Lorraine!! It was a surprise to come across it being painted! @Treeeeesh: Yes it was part of a much bigger mural in the markets in the centre of Adelaide. The artist was up the ladder next to it still painting! Walt from Scarborough, CanadaWhat an interesting shot - love the tools of creation in the foreground, something you rarely see! 19 Sep 2007 12:36pm @Walt: The artist was up the ladder next to it & the rest of the mural was growing around this unusual figure Walt! jen from Alpharetta, United StatesGreat find...I love it when I find random art around a city...great eye Bron 19 Sep 2007 1:19pm @jen: Thanks jen - yes it's one of the joys of visiting other places I agree! Thanks for the nice comment too! @HorseRotorVator: Thanks HRV! :)) @jump: Thanx!!! :)) Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomThere's a delicious sense of eclectic genius that comes across in this shot, Bron! Very well spotted and most brilliantly captured! :) 19 Sep 2007 9:12pm @Rebecca: I love your comments Rebecca - always thoughtful, always interesting!! Thanks you!! @Allan: Thanks Allan cheers Bron :) Rags from Plano, United StatesThis is awesome! The painting appears to blend into the surrounding, making the lady seem real though she does not look real. 19 Sep 2007 10:20pm Bron from Canberra, AustraliaI agree Rags - thta's what I noticed first - it's so well painted - and lifesize - I thought she was real for a second ! Hats off tp the artist (unknown I m afraid :) 19 Sep 2007 10:40pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesCool shot. Had me fooled until I read the caption. Had me wondering what kind of post processing you used and looking at the woman's 50's Americana type glasses. 20 Sep 2007 1:42pm @Twelvebit: It's great painting Twelvebit - she stopped my in my tracks! The only pp was cropping and a spot of brightness/contrast! Julio Pulido from Barcelona, SpainUna composición muy bien vista, hay que tener ojo para verla. Un saludo. 20 Sep 2007 5:36pm @Julio Pulido: Gracias por su comentario muy bueno. |
